Good Morning and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week! We had a lot of fun this week, doing a Felt Christmas Tree craft. You can see how messy it made my kitchen table, but the kids had fun creating. I'm adding the article with the directions for making your own felt tree, if you want to join along. I've even included a printable template of the ornament shapes to make it easy peasy for you.
I am VERY excited to announce that I have put together out first ever Macaroni Kid meet-up. We are going to go caroling at Covenant Place in Burleson. Covenant Place is an assisted living facility, and when I brought the idea up to the Activities Director she was SUPER excited about it. She said that some of her residents don't get many visitors, and especially around this time of year, they can fall into depression easily. She also said they absolutely love it when kids come visit with them, and that a group of kids singing and caroling would make their season. I really hope you all will join us if you can. The link to the event is HERE. Be sure you click Going or at least Interested, because this weekend I'll be adding the songs, so you can practice with your kids if you want. Even if you don't sing, we'd still love to have you come out and share your smiling faces with the residents.
Last but not least, I have paired up with a birth instructor and doula in Mansfield, and she is offering a FREE Comfort Measures workshop, and the corresponding book, to one of our readers. I'm including the article with the link in this newsletter. Even if you aren't pregnant, I'd love if you shared it on your Facebook page. You never know which one of your friends might have a bun in the oven that they are keeping secret!
Check out the events at the bottom of this article, too. This weekend is JAM PACKED!
