Good morning everyone!
You may have noticed I didn't send out a newsletter last week...well, Tuesday was my birthday and I went out of town. My hubby and I went over to Austin for a couple of days, just to get away. We had never been to Austin, and we had fun hiking and meeting up with some friends. I had planned to schedule the newsletter to go out in my absence, but it never happened. Sorry about that!
BUT I am back now! And have some fun things planned for this week. On Thursday, I am going to be co-hosting a fun, DIY playdough craft for kids with our Macaroni Kid sponsor Mary from The Spanglish Casita, along with Amanda from Altruistic KIDS. This is a great chance to get your kiddos out of the house and do something fun, and you could come check out a new business in Mansfield (Altruistic KIDS.) If you haven't heard of Altruistic KIDS yet, it is a drop-in daycare, and I KNOW us parents could use that at times!
Get your tickets HERE, and please share the event! We need to have at least 5 kids signed up by today, and parents: you don't need a ticket, just the kids.
I am also starting a new article series on the website, called Junior Reporter. Check out my son's article in this newsletter. If you have a kid that would like to be featured as a future Junior Reporter, just have them write an article about an event they went to that you found on Macaroni Kid or a review of a local business. Email it to me at mirandag@macaronikid.com along with a picture or 3. If your child's article is featured, they will get a $5 gift card to a local coffee shop.
Hope to see y'all at the event, and to get some Junior Reporter articles in my inbox soon.
Until next week,
Miranda
